Ottawa versera des compensations à Windsor pour le blocage du pont Ambassador

Windsor demande à Ottawa une indemnisation depuis l'hiver dernier, invoquant les coûts élevés des fermetures d'entreprises et du rétablissement de l'ordre public. La Ville a demandé dès avril dernier 5,7 millions $ à Ottawa.

Le gouvernement fédéral accordera à la Ville de Windsor, en Ontario, jusqu'à 6,9 millions $ en compensation pour les frais engagés lors des manifestations du «convoi de la liberté» qui ont bloqué le pont transfrontalier Ambassador en février.
